The agricultural sector in Nigeria is currently undergoing a massive shift from subsistence farming to commercial scale. However, many farmers still rely on rudimentary husbandry equipment that fails to protect livestock from the extreme humidity and heat of the Niger Delta and the arid conditions of the North.
A critical bottleneck remains the lack of standardized poultry pen house designs. Many existing structures lack proper ventilation and automated waste management, leading to higher mortality rates and lower feed conversion ratios (FCR) across poultry clusters in Oyo and Kaduna states.
Despite these challenges, there is a growing demand for specialized equipment in poultry farm operations to reduce manual labor costs and mitigate the impact of avian diseases through improved biosecurity barriers and automated feeding systems.
